Single Dad traveling with 7 yr old daughter

I am looking for a 4-5 day vacation with my 7yr old daughter. Someplace warm, on the beach with lots of kid activities to do. I was thinking somewhere in Florida or even California. I am planning on travel for the week of June 24. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

San Diego, maybe? The zoo is out of this world.

You've left it wide open --- but my kids loved San Diego; aside from the ocean, there's Sea World, the Wild Animal Park, and the SD Zoo, not to mention Old Town SD.

Has she been to Disney World? You can do Disney and in about an hour's drive from there, be at the beach. She would think you are the most wonderful dad ever! ;-)

San Diego popped into my mind too :) It wont be as warm as Florida, but there are plenty of things to do and see there. And the weather will be warm enough for hanging out on the beach and doing a little wading - you probably wont want to swim, but you can definitely play in the waves.

Have you considered Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica. Absolutely fabulous place to bring kids--pool with slides, wildlife (think monkeys), rainforest, horseback riding, beach, and very inexpensive.
