Siesta Key/Sarasota condo rentals??

Have never been too this area - would like recommendations on condo rentals - good location -- only one bedroom seems hard to find......just a few names of places to get me started - thanks

Hi

Siesta has beautiful white, talcum powder beaches that are fantastic. I would recommend using vrbo.com to try to find a nice one bedroom.

On Longboat Key (the very next barrier island and just as beautiful) I could recommend Turtle Crawl Inn or Sea Horse. Both have one bedroom condos and are right on the gulf.

Sarasota does not have a beach. Great city and much to do around town but no beach.

Hope this helps

Ironically, I was just looking at Turtle Craw Inn - I will go back and ck it out again-- thanks

You also might take a look at Casa Del Mar, Diplomat and Veranda Beach. I do think that price-wise Turtle Crawl or Sea Horse might be the most economical. There's a number of really nice condos here on the island as well as good restaurants.

This month is positively beautiful on the island and swimming is great!!

Check "siesta4rent.com" they handle mostly short term condo. rentals and specialize in the Siesta Key market.
Their website gives you pix of most of their listings and I am sure they will have a few one BR units.

Just back from another springbreak on Siesta Key- tough to find a more beautiful beach and easy going pace.
We rented condos this time from www.siestabeachhouse.com and some of our group had more updated units than others(me) so I wasn't thrilled BUT it's about a mile south of town and three hundred feet from beach so location is hard to beat.
Farther south is a street called Sara Sea Circle that feels very tropical and private with a few smaller condo places. Stayed at Captiva Beach Resort years ago and they have just completed renovations.
Back up noth alittle way Gulf and Bay Club looks interesting too.
Be aware that many condos have two week limit so always ask.
Have fun investigating your options and enjoy!
Ciao,
L

We stayed at the Sarasota Surf and Racquet Club twice and loved it! They are privately owned condos that the Club maintains and rents out. We were in different buildings, but they were both excellent. The Beach is soft white sand and nice amenities close by.
