Shows and Suites

What is the better, Blue Man Group or Mystere-Cirque du Soleil ? Also anybody heard of Jockey Club Suites on the strip?

Can't help you with the specific questions--but I assume you're talking about Las Vegas. I only looked at this post because with the title "show and suites" I thought you were asking about NY. You, and other newer posters may not realize this, but there aren't separate forums for each state, even if you pick Nevada from the state list when
you start a post. Therefore, all of them get lumped together and the vague titles often get ignored.
I suggest you repost with "Las Vegas"in the title--you could even be more specific "Blue Man Group or Mystere in Las Vegas?"
Try again. I'm sure you'll get some more answers!

I have seen the Jockey suites but have never stayed there and I have never heard of anyone staying there! I've been to vegas about 12 times so this makes me think it's probably not a great place.

The two shows are completely different and hard to compare. I would go with Mystere but I enjoy that type of entertainment much more!

Jockey Club is essentially an apartment building/condo complex.
Unless you're getting a rate under $25 per night and have to have a kitchen in your room, I would steer clear.

BMG and Mystere are both among the top 5 shows in LV. Each very different. The majority of people seem to find Mystere more awe inspiring, BMG more fun.
Depends on what you like and want.
I've seen both of the Cirque du Soleils "O" and Mystere and think they're among the best shows of any type I've ever seen.

Don't know about Blue Man Group but I did see Mystere-Cirque du Soleil when I was there last November and IMO it is not to be missed. We were mesmerized the whole time.

Both are amazing in their own right, but VERY different.

Mystere if you want to be "awe-struck"

BMG if you're looking for "all around good, wholesome, fun."

One thing to consider is that BMG plays (an almost identical show in other parts of the country) while Mystere can only be seen at TI (i know Cirque tours, but not as an extensive of a show as Mystere, afterall, the theater was built FOR them).

If i could only see one, i'd probably choose Mystere as it's a little bit more elaborate, but put BMG on your list of things to do when traveling back to Vegas or another city in which they perform.

By the way, be sure to get to Mystere at least 1/2 hour early, as there is a little "pre-show" to get the audience going.

Mystere

To: Thereuare

Right on! When we saw Mystere, it was my daughter's first trip to Vegas and she loved the show. Cirque du Soleil recently performed here in Dallas and she wanted to take her new husband, telling him how great the show was in Vegas. She was very disappointed that the show here was not nearly as good. And I have seen some of their other shows on Bravo that don't even compare with Mystere. After we saw Mystere, we wished we had had time to see O.

saw blue man group in Boston - unique but lots of fun - if you like to be interactive try to get a seat in the first three rows next to the stage - if you prefer to be an on looker avoid the front rows - believe the commercials - just don't let anyone explain the skits to you - it's more more fun to be surprised.
