Should we visit Mobile?

Jump to last reply

In early November we'll be travelling (by Greyhound) from Savannah to New Orleans. We hope to have a few days at Santa Rosa/ Seagrove beach having got a shuttle bus from Panama City to there.
Our question is should we spend a couple of nights in Mobile before our next stop near Biloxi or should we have another stop in the Gulf Shores area instead? We like the beach (walking and doing nothing!) but we also like interesting old cities.
We have read differing reports on Mobile from "lovely old city with tree lined squares" to "forgotten downtown area" so we need some help to decide please!
What temperatures should we expect there during first 2 weeks in November ?
