NY Magazine says Chelsea goes roughly up to 39th street.

dmlove: in answer to your question - it's been many years since I've been down to Hell's Kitchen, so I'm glad that it's "gentrifying".

My trips to New York tend to be to the museums and to Lincoln Center, all a bit north of Hell's Kitchen. In fact, Times Square is just a pass through place on the way to...

Once in a great while I'll end up in Chinatown for a meal, but not very often.

I thought Clinton is esat of Hell's Kitchen.

Add Meligrano on to Patrick's list (50th and 10th). The Daily Show tapes a block from there. We got tickets for the show and it was great, then had dinner at Meligrano (no reservations --we walked in and got a table but then it filled up right away). It's a great neighbourhood!

Il Melograno -- 51st and 10th. We ate there for lunch once when we rented an apartment almost next door for a week, but I had forgotten about it. We wanted to go back for after theatre, but they tended to close early if not busy. Just looked at their menu, and yes, would love to try it again -- maybe on a non theatre night.

Ooops. Double post.

I got the Hell's Kitchen boundaries from NY Magazine. I too didn't think that it ran that far south.
They have Chelsea listed from 39th to 15th streets from 5th Ave to the Hudson.

I was tempted to go last fall when I was there with DD, as there are some restaurants we wanted to go to. We ran out of time.

neo, I'm not familiar with WWPlaza, but I am sure it will be wonderful. Although I have had a lovely $15 martini at BlueFin, I am glad you helped them branch out to a more neighborly destination for the gtg. If you happen my the Little Pie Company, say hi to Pacino. I've seen him outdoors there a few times. Good neighborhood, good people. Lots of characters!

Here's a picture of the Plaza, in the outdoor shot, you can see a green awning to the right with Blockhead's on it. The Plaza is much larger than it looks in this picture.

Looks like the perfect place Patrick. Wish I could make it.
