Been looking at HTS on the net? Has anyone stayed there? can you tell us where to get best price and what is the laocation really like. Also, read that there is a huge complex underneath hotel. Is there any rooms/floors better than others for comfort and views. Thanks in advance.

I stayed there for $75/night through Priceline which was a good deal. The room was huge, nothing fancy, but very comfortable. The location is pretty good for theatregoing. It is true that there is a huge movie/food court/shopping venue underneath and there were always crowds of teenagers outside on the sidewalk that you had to elbow your way through to get into/out of the hotel. Other than that I liked it a lot and would definitely stay there again for that price.

thanks for the tip - i thought i'd get a better response posting seperately. That $75 was a good deal i'm coming nowhere near that.

Lynn, yes a $ 75 price is a great deal for the hotel -- done through Priceline. But there is no way to guarantee if you bid $75 on Priceline you will get it, or especially get that particular hotel. Since you seem particular about where you stay, then my personal belief is you'd be wise to spend the extra and get what you want, not what you hope you will like once you've bid it and can't change your mind without losing the entire prepayment for your entire stay!!<BR><BR>I've not been in the rooms, but the hotel starts very high up in the building, so the actual floor shouldn't make a lot of difference, although obviously the higher up the better the views. <BR><BR>I would not hesitate staying there even though the street right outside is very touristy and very busy -- hey it's 42nd Street in New York!!!
