Should I rent car online or at airport in Maui?
 

I am looking to rent a car while in Maui. I would like a convertible. Should I chance it when I get to airport or book online before departure? Any recommendations on companies?

I would never wait till I arrive to rent a car. Never. If you find a better deal when you arrive, great. If not you are SOL.

There is (usually) no penalty for NOT picking up a car you reserve, or changing a reservation if you get a better deal.

I like to use www.orbitz.com to comparison shop, then book directly from the rental car co website.

I don't see the point of waiting - do you expect to be able to get a better deal at the airport (I would guess it's the opposite)?

I agree - I'd never wait if I had something in particular in mind, especially on Maui.
