Hello bboasg, have you checked with the hospital to see if they have a list of accomodations. I have heard that some hospitals do.
I am not familar with that area but another thought I had is the extended stay type of hotels that corporate employees often use when on long time job assignments. In my area one can only rent for 30 days evidently but understand they are nicely furnished with kitchen facilities. |
not sure what you will find, maybe there are embassy suites nearby? or other type of suite based facility. i know they are across the bridge in mt. laurel nj, but with traffic that's about a half hour out of the city

Check craigslist.com.

Check to see if there is a "Residence Inn" (I believe they are owned by Marriott) in the area. I stayed/lived in one in Vegas when I had to be there on business for a month. It's like a small apartment with full kitchen, untensils, bedroom, sofabed, etc. Plus, breakfast is included as well as a "happy hour" with free wine/beer and enough yummy food to make a meal out of it! They are a very decent price, and were very comfortable for a few weeks/month. You won't feel cramped like staying in a hotel room. Most have outside access, so it's like coming home to an apartment. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.

All above suggestions are good. If the patient is a child, look into Ronald McDonald House.
Most of all: re-post this with "short-term housing in/near Philadelphia" The lack of a clear title means many people will skip over this thread. Good luck to you. |
