I understand a good place to shop for prom dresses is Bloomingdale's. Also heard there are boutiques on lower east side with some original dresses. Does anyone have the names of some places we might look? Thanks!!!!

Lord & Taylor has an excellent dress department as well. Worth a look.

Well - I don;t know how prommy the promdress needs to be. Barney's has smashing stuff that's sophsiticated - but perhaps not prommy enough.

Boutiques on the LES? I've not heard of those -- but Orchard Street is lined with apparel shops. I bet that's it.
