shopping in Montreal

I am traveling to Montreal Canada this weekend from Vermont. I have heard about the wonderful shopping in the underground city etc. and the great deals to be had.
Does anyone have any advice on things to pick up while in the area or shops to visit? Thanks
Jim

Hi, I didn't check to see if you did or not, but you might want to post this on the Canada forum for more responses.

The shopping was ok in Montreal... not much better than Dallas, though.
I bought a lot at stores that sell unique stuff and of course I loaded up on Lush products. There were loads of cute shops around the Lush on Rue Denis (or St Denis)

Oh, I forgot that I bought a bunch of things on clearance at the more expensive dept stores on St Catherine.
Since I am in Texas, we can wear warm weather clothes most of the year. They had summer stuff marked very low and that combined with the exchange rate at the time (last winter) made for a great deal for me!
