Shopping in Boston with teenagers

I will be in Boston just for a few days visiting colleges with my 16 and 17 year old daughters. They want to have some time for shopping. Any suggestions?

Go to Downtown Crossing and hit Filene's basement and H&M, then hop on the subway's Red Line and head up to Harvard Square.

My daughter's classmates got into buying t-shirts from colleges they visited, even if they weren't applying!
