Shoe Store in NYC
 

It has been many years since I was there ...but there was the most amazing shoe store...I think it was on the West side ? Does anyone know of such a store ?? It was HUGE ...seemed that it was a family owned store ?? Any help wold be great

Two possibilities come to mind on the Upper West Side: Harry's on Broadway around 83rd St and Tip Top Shoes on West 72nd between Amsterdam & Columbus. I wouldn't call either one huge, but they both have a pretty big selection.

You probably are looking for Harry's Shoes. Great selection, excellent and knowledgeable salespeople.

We also have 2 DSW stores now in Manhattan, Union Square and Fiancial District and they are HUGE.

The Union Square location also has a fairly new Filene's and I think it is 3 floors so it is pretty large too. And they have an EXCELLENT shoe department as well.

Sorry, wantsomesun, as big as they may be, DSW and Filene's can't hold a candle to Harry's in terms of quality of product and salespeople.
