Sheraton Midtown Manhattan?
 

I am looking to get feedback from anyone who has stayed at the Sheraton Midtown Manhattan. (Rooms, location, overall impressions...) Any info would be appreciated.

It's a big convention type hotel, although the location is excellent. There are actually 2 different Sheratons near each other, the Sheraton Manhattan and the Sheraton hotel and Towers. Here are reviews of both.

I would not chose to stay there unless I was getting some amazing deal because I would prefer someplace either smaller or nicer. There are many other hotels nearby if you need to be in that area. The Warwick is a nice smaller hotel nearby. The Michelangelo is very very nice and also not far. If you're looking for a budget option, the Salisbury is near and has suites. nycsalisbury.com

we stay 2 or 3 times a year at the Sheraton - the Manhattan and/or the Towers - I am there b/c of business and that is where the points are, and stay on a club floor room so I have access to the morning breakfast and later hors d'oeuvres, etc which I find very convenient - and I have found it to be clean, good service, helpful concierge when I needed it has always been able to get me what I need, incl. packages sent/deliveries - if you can get a great rate and it works for your budget I would recommend it - I also sometimes brought my kids when they were younger and felt it was a safe area to navigate, easy walks to attractions, subway,e tc esp for them when they were older if I was busy.
Rooms I've had have never been large, but they are adequate and I am never in my room long in NYC.
They do tend to get a lot of large groups that seem to be younger (and noisier around the 2-3am time frame) so I recommend not being near the elevator and try and be closer to end of hall.

Other personal visits, my husband and I have enjoyed the Michelangelo recently through a great internet rate and also the Marcel.

I also should say, the last time we were at the smaller of the two, their club floor wasn't operating and there was no included breakfast/hors d'oeuvres and there is a convenient coffee/eating area in the larger one as well as a bar off to the side, and they have been very accomodating getting us a "plate" of late night snacks after theater when they had really stopped serving (cheese/fruit/crackers type plate)
