Sheraton Maui pool guest allowed?
We are going to Maui in April and will be staying at The Whaler condos on Kaanapali. My sons will be staying at the Sheraton for 3 of the nights. Will we be able to use Sheraton's pool while they are staying there?

You have to obtain bracelets from the pool desk to use the pool. They will ask your name and room number...not sure if they actually check to see the room occupancy.

Ask the hotel !!!

We stayed at the Sheraton in Feb. and when we obtained braclets to use the pool we did have to give them the room number. However, they didn't check in the computer the occupancy of the room. We just signed our name and room number. They didn't question us at all. I would think that it wouldn't be too difficult since your sons are staying there!
If they give you any hassles, just play the "I though we could since my sons are staying here" line and they may not make a big deal out of it. I thought the staff at the Sheraton were really fun and easy going. I wouldn't have a problem using the pool if my children were staying there. |
Tasha440 and Smilen1: Thanks for your help. Rusty, you need to be more tolerant. The hotel may tell you one thing but do another. It has been known to happen before.
|
Another piece of advice: Never stay at a hotel where the staff tells you one thing and does another. And definitely don't use their pool !

WuWuWu - I have stayed at the Sheraton and just returned on 3/19 from the Whaler. You will love them both. I know you said your were putting your boys up at the Sheraton so you both could have your privacy.. I bet you are paying for their room at the Sheraton. My suggestion would be to have both of your names on the room registration and then I don't see any problem with using the pool, especially if it is your credit card paying for the room at the Sheraton. Just go up to the activities desk and ask for pool towels for Room #___ and I bet you will not even be questioned. If your son and friend come over to Whaler just remember they will either have to have a room key or room # to call you to open the door of your tower. Entry door to towers is always locked. Security at the Whaler is pretty tight until they get to know you. The Whaler has 24 hour security for the grounds and pool. Good luck and be sure to do a trip report when you return. Aloha!

To Wu: Asking the hotel is a good idea BUT the purpose of this forum is to ask here as well. Don't be discouraged by short replies. Most folks are pretty nice. Keep posting. Cheers, Larry. PS I recommend Mamas Fish House for great dining. Enjoy. And Rusty for someone who posts alot about Hawaii how about showing some aloha spirit for a change.

Jacketwatch, everyone has their own reasons for reading and posting on this forum. One of the reasons I read this forum is to see how truly stupid some people can be (and they very seldom let me down). Everyone on this forum thinks they have the "aloha spirit". If you think you have the "aloha spirit" you don't. Do you have the aloha spirit ?
|
You post to see how truly stuopid peopole can be are are seldom let down. And you question if I have the aloha spirit? Good God Rusty with such a cynical attitude how could you possibly tell! All is yellow to the jaundiced eye.
|
I would really rather be considered stupid by Rusty than for everyone to think I was condescending and unhelpful. I won't be responding to any of his negativisim anymore.
|
Are you the same jacketwatch who posted about how someone cut in front of you in the line to the washroom on a flight? That is the kind of stuff that everyone on this forum is just dying to hear about!! I rest my case.
|
WuWuWu always asks great questions like "Can you bring wine to Maui?"
|
As usual Rusty your jaundiced view shows off itself again as you have completely misrepresented that situation. Its too bad you can't see yourself for the cynic you are. But if you could then you wouldn't be one. Get a life amigo before its too late. Cheers, Larry.

Rusty: BTW thanks for reading my posts. There's hope for you.
