Sheraton Broadway Plantation Myrtle Beach with teens

Just booked the Sheraton after reviews on tripadvisor. Anyone been her or know about this resort? It says we are close to the beach and main attractions, advise for parents w/teens & preteens? My parents are coming with us, advise for them?

"close to the beach" is a very relative term. 2 miles according to their website, along with these other attractions.
Your parents will find two HUGE outlet malls nearby, plus any other shopping you might imagine. This is an inland beach resort, I believe.

Broadway at the Beach 0.1 km/0.1 miles
Myrtle Waves Water Park 1.6 km/1.0 miles
NASCAR SpeedPark 1.6 km/1.0 miles
Ripley's Aquarium 1.6 km/1.0 miles
Coastal Federal Field 1.6 km/1.0 miles
Grand Strand Beaches 3.2 km/2.0 miles
Ripley's Believe It or Not 6.4 km/4.0 miles
The Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park 6.4 km/4.0 miles
Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show 6.4 km/4.0 miles
Wild Water (Water Park) 8.1 km/5.0 miles
Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament 9.7 km/6.0 miles
Alligator Adventure 16.1 km/10.0 miles

Thx Gretchen..I should have known about the beach! BTW how is that Dixie Stampede? Something we all would get a kick out of? Have you heard anything on the MagiQuest?

I would not consider the Sheraton on the beach. It will be a car trip to the beach.

Dixie Stampede - average food, good entertainment, especially if you like horses, overall, a good evening of entertainment.

MagicQuest - My husband hates this place. My sons ages 10 and 12 LOVE it. It is basically an indoor magic/middle ages (castle, royalty and dragon) themed video game. You buy wands and an amount of time (1-2 hour increments),and then wander around the facility solving riddles and searching for clues. It can be crowded especially on rainy days.

We don't do ANYthing in MB except drive around it!! Sorry. But I do think there are some good stage shows there for folks that like that. You are going to be in the middle of big big traffic. I'm pretty sure I drove past this a few weeks ago on the way to the airport. It's amazing.
