Sheraton Broadway Plantation Myrtle Beach
Anyone stay here? What's it like? Is there anything to walk to from the villas?

Haven't stayed there, but it's a fairly new property. It's just a short walk to Broadway On the Beach where you can enjoy shops, entertainment, dining, etc.

Just in case you didn't realize . . . this hotel is about 2 miles inland off the beach.
Broadway at the Beach is fine, but it's restaurants, bars/night clubs, shops, movie theatre, aquarium, and a mini-golf. Unless that is what you'd like to be within walking distance of, I think it would be a slightly odd choice of lodging--versus being within walking distance of the beach. |
I stayed there with five other people (in a 3 bedroom apartment) in October, 2006. It was really nice and fully furnished. As far as location, it was within walking distance to Broadway at the Beach, which has shops, restaurants, bars, etc. I would def. recommend it!

We stayed there in March of 2007 thanks somehow to my father's Marriott timeshare in Boston. We had a nice two bedroom unit - very spacious. The property is really nice - they have paths to walk all around. And they have an inside and outside pool - and a lazy river. They also have mini-golf on site - and tennis & basketball.
As others have said, it is close to Broadway on the Beach - we never walked there but it is probably within walking distance. But nothing else is. If we return to Myrtle Beach, I would definitely stay there again. |
I would highly recommend the Avista Resort in North Myrtle Beach. It is a newer complex and very clean. I have stayed twice and would definitely go back again.
