Shea Stadium seating question
I will be visiting New York next month and I was able to get tickets to a Met game. They are behind home plate in a section called "Players Field Box" Does anyone know the exact location of this section? Thanks.

I think if you check the Mets official web site there's a seating plan. That should help. Hope by then the Mets will be leading the pack!!

the seating chart on the website will work. May I ask, why are you going to a horrible stadium? When the cathederal of baseball is in the Bronx -- YANKEE STADIUM!

Tom

You're making a good choice to see the Mets instead of the Yankees. Those seats sound like they're good. But like Mike said, check the website. You'll have a better time at Shea than Yankee Stadium. "LETS GO METS!"

Tom:

The way the Mets are playing right now you better bring a good book!! BORING BASEBALL!! And this is from a Mets Fan!
JOHN

Everyone knows that the Yankees suck! Why go to Yankee Stadium with all of the yahoos when you can have a nice relaxing time at Shea Stadium?

A little FYI since we are talking NY baseball. I don't know if they still do it, but when I was in college we used to get in free to Met and Yankee games with military IDs. Just flash your ID at the press gate and they let you in. The seats were in the second level along 3B side at Shea (You couldn't pay me enough to set foot in Yankee Stadium -ptooie-). Pretty good for a freebie. We would go early enough for batting practice and they would let you down on the first level, then we would just find an empty seat.
