SHADOW - please respond
Shadow - I read your response on a Napa Valley thread.
We are heading to Paris next week. Please tell me where you stayed for $85 a night with a view of The Eiffel Tower.
Thank you so much, Barbara
|
Barbara,
We were there in Oct 2000 and if I recall correctly, during our planning, there may have been a Best Western (no kiddin') located somewhere between Ecole Militare and Palais du Luxembourg that may have gone for $85-$100 (US) back then that people mentioned had a view.
Try the BW web or the European forum.

We actually wound up in a BW named Hotel Colisee on Rue du Colisee located 1/2 block off the Champs Elysee, 2 blocks to the Arc, 10 min walk to the Eiffel and only 3 blocks from Rue du Faubourg/St Honore=shopping! (Wonder who wanted that location?) I think we got it for around $125 US. Actually a very nice hotel and great location, even tho it was right behind the Paris Dinsey Store! It IS a small world afterall.
Hope it helps.
Kal

Kal,
Thanks so much for the info on a resonably priced hotel in a great location. I will definatly check the BW site.
Just curios: why did you check a thread that said "Shadow - please respond"? I'm sure glad you did.
Thanks,Barbara

I am sure that a lot of people "checked" this thread, because it is worded so odd.

Oh my gosh-this is Shadow-and I've just now seen this thread! Sorry Barbara!
Hope your stay in Paris was wonderful :)
(I'm researching a trip to Portland OR now). Anyway, if you see this, even though its late-we stayed at Hotel Muguet in the 7th Arron. in Paris-type in Hotel Muguet on the Europe forum and you'll get lots of info on the Hotel Muguet. Maybe for next trip??
(I typed in Shadow to find my question on Portland and this showed up!!)
Shadow
