SFO TO JAMESTOWN GOLD

We are planning a trip to Jamestown Ca from the airport in San Francisco - what is the best way to get there - mapquest takes me from
us 101 to
Ca92 east to Haywood
I 880 north toward Oakland
I 238 S to I 580 East
Do these directions steer me away from the
Collapse of the freeway earlier this year
or do I need different directions ?
Please advise
Thanks

The freeway that was affected by the gas tanker was reopened in may before Memorial Day. Nontheless those direction have you going south and over the San Mateo Bridge which makes way more sense than going north to the Bay bridge and then south again.

Yes, that's the way. Go south on 101 from the airport, take 92 east across the San Mateo Bridge to Hayward (not Haywood), then 880 north to 238, which connects with 580 east in the direction of Stockton. Follow 205 through Tracy until it merges with 5 north and then immediately take 120 to Manteca, follow 120 to 108 towards Sonora.

The MacArthur maze section that collapsed is in Oakland, and besides it has been rebuilt and is completely open again, as the poster above said.

Definitely go over the San Mateo bridge. Just the words "MacArthur maze" should make you want to avoid going through Oakland, collapsed freeway or not - LOL!

Yes - I agree w/ the others, from SFO that would be the best route. It may seem odd and sort of round about - but it really is the best traffic and mileage-wise
