SF- Side Trips

Thanks for previous recommendations for our SF trip. We will be spending 1-2 nights on the Monterey peninsula in early May, and I wouls appreciate some recs for lodging - Carmel, Monterey, or Pacific Grove? Looking for something between $100-$200/night. Restaurant comments also requested.

One day of our SF trip will be spent in Sonoma or Napa. Does anyone know of an online list/chart of which wines the wineries produce? We like more whites than reds = chardonnays, reislings, etc. and would appreciate any suggestions for this as well.
Thanks in advance.

My favorite place to stay in Carmel, when we don't rent a house, is Mission Ranch. It's reasonable and it is in a quiet location overlooking the Carmel River wetlands and the ocean. It's not everyone's cup of tea, however, because it is away from the commercial part of Carmel (which is exactly why we like it).

Favorite restaurant these days is Christopher's on Lincoln. Also very fond of Passionfish in Pacific Grove.

2nd SAB's Mission Ranch choice, rustic and peaceful with a very nice restaurant on site, and it's a 5 minute drive to central Carmel.
