SF Restaurants
Will be in SF for 3 nights w/boys ages 11 & 14. They are very good eaters and we enjoy dining out at nice restaurants. Looking for suggestions for lunch & dinner...italian, american, seafood, dim sum, asian. help is appreciated.

Chowhound.com might be a better board for that sort of question.

bobbygee,
When you get to chowhound, search under "korean barbecue" and "hot pot". These are two types of dining venues guaranteed to amuse the age group you specified. And not sky-high $$ either. |
Oh c'mon Michael, SF restaurants has been a well-covered topic on Fodors.
bobbygee...do a search on here for San Francisco restaurants. You'll get a slew of posts on that. I myself have posted plenty on it, even as recently as a few days ago. You can click on my screen name and you'll see relevant posts pop up. Real quick - for Italian, you can always head to one of the many places for that in North Beach. Also, for more unique, non-traditional Italian experiences, head to Delfina or A16. For seafood, Farrallon (high end) or Swan Oyster Depot (lower end). American...Boulevard, Plumpjack. Dim sum...Yank Sing for sure. Asian...Slanted Door (awesome must-do upper scale VietNamese), Betelnut (mostly Chinese/pan-Asian on Fillmore by plenty of great shopping), and my all time favorite Chinese place is R&G Lounge. Get the Salt & Pepper Crab! Have fun! |
