Senior solo traveller to US for the first time

Many thanks for the responses to my post. You have been most helpful.
cmcfong, an Aussie Sheila doesn't compute "topping" is that a negative or a positive or both??

LoveItaly Jan 30th, 2006 07:56 PM

Sheila, when someones post "topping" or "ttt" they are helping you as when someone post to your thread that brings your thread up to the top of the list again so hopefully others will see it and respond to it as many people don't look past the first 50 post if that. So it is a favor to you. A "postive" for sure!!

Thanks, LoveItaly, for explaining. Yes, Sheila, I was trying to help our Aussie visitor. I noticed that your posts were falling to the bottom and you had not received all the information you wanted. If you click on your screenname all your posts will appear. Welcome to the USA and have a wonderful visit.

Sheila, please don't start a new thread to reply to each post. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Post a Reply to My Message to reply. That way all of your questions and replies will be on the same thread.

Thanks for the instruction. It is obvious I haven't read the the rules. I have really enjoyed my little foray into the forum thing. A new experience for me.
Was wondering if anyone knows if a live in art workshops (2-5 days) exist along the route of the Amtrak's California Zephyr. (That's a big ask!)

Sheila, another helpful hint: add your art workshop question to your original thread, or start a new thread with "Art Workshop Along California Zephyr Route" as a title. A concise but clear title will get you the most responses.

That's OK, everyone is new to posting on travel forums sometime.

As mentioned, just go to a question you have already asked, go to the "Post My Reply" and click on that. Then you continue to ask your questions on your first "thread" that you started, this way all your information stays together.

Welcome to Fodors and good luck in planning your trip!
