Seewee Cafe

Suewoo: Pls tell me about Seewee Cafe. Or anyone else but
Suewoo seems very close to it! Many thanks!

Second question: Is Bowen's Island still around?

SeeWee is up Route 17 in an old old general store--I think. The food is good and it's fun--fried seafood, and fried dill pickles! I'm glad we went, but won't really again (we drove down from Litchfield). The food was good.
I've been trying to remember Bowen's Island. It was voted "best" by someone, wasn't it.

SeeWee is a very casual roadside place with lots of down home atmosphere. Stick to shrimp and/or oysters. Vegetable sides are good. Complimentary baskets of hush puppies are delicious. Homemade cakes and pies are outstanding! SeeWee is open for lunch and dinner. Here's the website http://www.seeweerestaurant.com/

Bowen's Island Restaurant has amazing sunset views over the Folly River! Bowens is even more casual than SeeWee. Outdoor seating is popular. Bowens is famous for seasonal steamed oysters, plucked from their own oyster beds. Again, stick to the shrimp and/or oysters. You order at the counter, grab your drink, and pick a table (they'll find you with the food). Bowen's is open only for dinner. Here is the website http://www.bowensislandrestaurant.com/
