Seeking feedback on long-term car rentals
Hi!
I'm a UC Berkeley grad student, currently conducting a study about long-term (2 weeks+) car rentals, in the hopes for designing a better alternative to traditional car rental offerings. Our hypothesis is that travel and relocation are among the top use cases for such rentals, hence we're looking to hear from seasoned travelers.
We are running a consumer survey, and would greatly appreciate 5 minutes of your time to help us gather some research insights. We'd love to hear about your rental experiences and will use the feedback to help design a new product.
Here's the survey link: https://berkeley.qualtrics.com/SE/?S...2dNwujxzSPGWRn
Thanks in advance!

I did the survey, but there were times when the answer I wanted to give wasn't available.
I found it insulting that you lump everyone over 60 into one age category.
I didn't like that there wasn't a "prefer not to answer" type option for income.

Sorry, but under NO CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER will I take part in a survey in which I am required to give my income level. I don't even like giving my age or ethnicity or gender, but will tolerate this IF it is relevant to the questions. However, income levels are off the table.
I've been shouting "Go Bears" for over forty years, and will "Feed the Bears"

for many years to come. But this is one effort that I will pass on.

Not sure what this peer to peer thing is - sounds like Air BnB for car rental - which is a perfectly horrible idea.
The potential for major legal/financial problems, as well as the scam factor, and the complete lack of knowledge about the condition of the car - and how do they provide road service - or replace the car immediately if there is a problem.
No price is low enough to compensate for the total legal/financial mess this could be. (If you are an impecunious student and total your car even Rent a Wreck would seem to be a better choice than this.)
