Seeking Events Calendar - NYC
 

We'll be in NYC from Oct. 12-17 - looking for good online (or offline) events calendars - street fairs, concerts, etc. - for that time. Any suggestions?

Have a look at 2 web sites:

New York Magazine site has hundreds of events listed, searchable by date and category (from street fairs to gallery openings to city wide events)

Time Out New York site also has a huge list of events- but more musical and evening type

Oh - and don;t forget the Columbus Day Parade - a huge event (sort of the Italian equivalent of St Patrick's Day parade).

On Sunday the 12th the a street fair will be on 6th Ave from 42nd to 57th.

On Monday the 13th there is another street fair on Broadway from Cedar to Battery Place.

As mentioned NY Magazine is a great place for info as well as the Village Voice.

newyorkmetro.com is very good as well.

Here's a good great website for all free events in NYC, and includes Brooklyn.

Ummm bill - River to River is a great festival/event organization, and I love the concerts and stuff - but it's a summer festival that ends Sept. 29th - the OP is asking about October . . .

Oooops. Oh well.
