sedona restaurants

We'll be in Sedona in a few weeks. I'm wondering if dinner reservations are necessary in most restaurants in early June. I prefer not to schedule my evenings if possible. Also, has anyone tried the Sunday Brunch at the L'Auberge?

L'Auberge is very pricey. I did have breakfast there one day (not the brunch) and thought you were paying for the location. It is expensive and I did not go back for dinner for that reason.

I ate at Shugrue's Hillside Cafe twice and really enjoyed that place. Great food and service and you can sit outside. It is sort of behind Javelina Cantina (which is on the right as you drive into Sedona from Phoenix).

I can't wait to go back to Sedona! It is such a gorgeous area.

Was in Sedona a few days ago. We did not need to make any reservations ahead of time. We stayed at L'Auberge and had breakfast there. It was not crowded, and was very nice and peaceful. We ate inside with a table next to the windows facing the creek. We ordered the make your own omelets and fresh oj, which were very good and very well priced. Total bill I think was $25 for two which is not bad at all. Nice restaurant for a morning or noon meal, but may be a bit depressing mood-wise for a dinner after sunset.

I've had Champagne Brunch at the L'Auberge and I thought it was very nice. Of course you pay for the location, silly. It's beautiful with a table outside, next to the creek. If you're not the outside dining type, don't waste your time.

I was in Sedona last June, and did not make prior reservations for dinner with the exception of L'Auberge. Didn't have a problem getting a table at the other restaurants, including Cowboy Club and EL Rincon for dinner and Heartline Cafe for lunch.

I will add that I was extremely pleased with my meal at L'Auberge and felt it was worth the expense.

While my dining experience in Sedona was during the winter, I would think that if you went early enough, you would be able to get into most places. You would probably also have better luck during the week as opposed to the weekend. I highly recommend Robert's Creekside Cafe while you're in Sedona.

Thanks for all the great Sedona tips! Can't wait to try them out.

I stayed at Enchantment in Sedona and thought the restaurant was excellent, plus the view was worth the dinner alone. Have a great trip.
