Sedona lodging choices - do you know any of these places?

This is for hotels in Sedona for 2 or 3 nights in late June. I have looked at a number of possibilities, all on paper since I've never been to the area before.

I like Las Posadas the best, because it seems to have large, very well appointed rooms in a quiet setting. Rates are $150 to $200 per night.

One other possibility is to use Priceline for resorts in Sedona, and from reviewing BiddingforTravel, it looks probable that I could get Radisson Poco Diablo for around $90 per night. Based on their rack rate of $199 or so, I would pick Las Posadas. But is this place worth it in order to save $50 to $100 per night via PL?

The Hilton Sedona looks like the other PL possibility, but not as likely as the Raddisson. Hilton's Rack rates are about $180 to $200. Both the Radisson and the Hilton may charge a resort fee on top of the room rate.

Other places I've considered are Enchantment at about $315 for a Jr. King Suite, L'Auberge at around $200, Sky Ranch Lodge at about $150. The things that are really important to us are very comfortable rooms/beds, and good AC for the little lady. Price isn't really an object, but value appeals to me greatly, plus I figure if I can save enough on the hotel, it pays for our dinner!

If price isn't an issue and you want to make the "little lady" happy, stay at Enchantment! And book a spa appointment!

I can't speak to Los Posadas, but I have stayed at the Radisson on business. I thought the rooms were dated and they used those "sleep by number" beds which I thought made a crinkling sound every time I turned over. I wouldn't pick it again.

Have you checked Trip Advisor?

RJ, thanks I will check Lodge at Sedona

baker, making the little lady happy isn't just a must, it's a matter of survival!

patandhank, I have checked Tripadvisor, thanks. That site is always helpful, but I find Fodors to be a little more personal!

Thanks everyone

Is Enchantment really that much better? Las Posadas looks very nice - I would say that the rooms seem to be equivalent to those at Enchantment. The difference is probably the surroundings and the amenities. If I book Enchantment on a non-refundable basis, the room rate goes down to $225, again for a Jr. King Suite, which is a step up from a studio hotel room.

smetz,
not sure you're still responding but where did you end up staying in Sedona?
My husband and I are planning a trip for next April.

Bettina, we ended up staying at Las Posadas, and we liked it very much. The room we had was the least expensive type - deluxe, I think - and it was very nice. Lots of space, with a bedroom and living room. The bath was excellent, with dual sinks, nice tile shower, and separate soaking tub. It also had a small kitchen. The breakfast included every day was very nice, with three small courses served by the chef. They also provide you with an appetizer platter in your fridge every day. There is a shopping center across the street with a couple of good restaurants, and a fair amount of retail on Route 179 in Oak Creek Village. It's about 15 min. south of the town of Sedona. I would definitely recommend it.

Agree with RJW1 about Lodge at Sedona. They also offer superb breakfasts included in your room rate.
