Sedona Lodging

We have reservations at The Sedona Real in mid-October. I've read mixed reviews of this Hotel. Anyone have opinions of this Hotel? or, a better place? We'd like to stay under 140.00/nite.
Thanks.

I stayed there in June of 2004 and thought that it was terrific. We are probably going back to Sedona next year and if we do, we will stay there again. The rooms were big, clean and nicely furnished. There was also a good breakfast. The view from our balcony was just fantastic. So I would recommend it.

Thanks lou7401 - - One review I read said it was very noisy(close to the road), did you find this to be a problem?

Only those rooms directly facing Highway 89A should present any noise problem -- and only during daytime. And after dark, Sedona is a very quiet place.

The motel lies on the west side of town, at the intersection of 89A and Arroyo Pinon/Dry Creek Road. It provides easy access to Red Rock Loop Road and scenic Red Rock Crossing, the second-most photographed place in Arizona after the Grand Canyon. It also leads to Red Rock State Park, a wonderful place to hike and picnic. Be sure to drive north on Dry Creek Road -- amazing scenery.

To get your bearings, drive east on 89A,through the intersection with Hwy. 179, and continue one block to the corner of 89A and Forest Road. The Sedona Visitors' Center is open daily 9 to 5, and can provide you with all kinds of information, free maps, places to visit, things to do, where you can eat, etc.

Mid-October will be a perfect time to be in Sedona -- warm days, cool nights.

Thanks for the information USNR. We're really looking forward to this trip. Sounds like you stayed there, what is your opinion of the Sedona Real, or any other Hotel in the Sedona area.

Never stayed there. Just lived here more than 21 years.
