Sedona lodging
 

Going to Sedona in Oct. and wondering if anyone has stayed at either of the Best Western there ? Any other recommedations for a nice place with views and near town. We will be staying for 3 days. thanks

Family stayed at the Arroyo Roble at Christmas time. We had views of the rocks off our balcony, plus we were within walking distance of Pink Jeep and lots of restaurants.

Re the note above: the town hall is NOT the place to get tourist info. The writer probably was referring to the town's visitors' center at the corner of Highway 89A and Forest Ave., one block north of the intersection of Highway 89a and Highway 179. Otherwise, beware of phoney "tourist information" places that are covert timeshare sales offices.

Skyranch Lodge is terrific. Spectacular views--especially at sunset when everyone gathers at the scenic overlook on the road up to the lodge. Nice swimming pool, simple but very comfortable rooms, gorgeous gardens and plantings. Be sure to have breakfast at the airport right up the road from Skyranch--a five minute walk. Get to the GC if you have never gone--the most jaw-dropping thing I've ever seen in my life. Enjoy!

Are you inquiring about the Best Western Inn of Sedona? If so, I can highly recommend it as an excellent choice. Not a resort by any means, but a very good motel: clean, well-appointed, close-in Sedona, value pricing compared to resorts in area and an exceptional view of the scenery. Request a room with the patio facing north, top floor being THE BEST. Also check with the hotel AND the 800 number to find the best price. As I remember, we got a better price with the 800# which is unusual in my experience.

Has anyone stayed in one of the villas at Arroyo Roble? Are they REALLY creekside? Thanks!

stayed twice at the Briar Patch Inn. It's very relaxing, breakfast is served at the creekside.(all the food "home made".) They have various sized cottages most with fireplaces and kitchens. I would certainly recommend staying there.
