Sedona in March

My husband and I are our 1 year old will be meeting another couple in Sedona for the first week of March. The guys plan to golf and we'd like to take a day trip to the Grand Canyon. Any other ideas of great things to do or good restaurants, considering we have a little one? Any advice on the best golf course or ones to stay away from within a 50 mile radius? Also, any feedback/advice on the Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort where we'll be staying would be great. Thank you!

Sorry about the typo..."my husband and I AND our 1 year old"...that should make more sense!

We stayed at this resort last August and really enjoyed it. The units were spacious and comfortable and the pool/spa area was nice. DH played golf at the resort and enjoyed it although it was quite hot - 103! There was another course nearby that he was interested in, but we ran out of time. Our 3 kids are older, so I'm not sure of activities for a little one. We enjoyed dinner at the Cowboy Club - they have an appetizer of rattlesnake, buffalo & cactus fries - fun!!

Thanks BBEAR! Were there any rooms that were nicer or had better views than others that you'd recommend requesting? (We have a 2BR condo for the week.)

Any other feedback on golf courses in the Sedona/Jerome/Prescott area? Thanks to all of you!

I've been to Sedona twice, am a golfer, but have not played-so I would defer to info @ http://www.worldgolf.com/features/sedona-golf-road.htm
A new private course, Seven Canyons looks spectacular if you can find a way to get on. A day trip to Gr.Canyon should include a drive thru Oak Creek Canyon (SR 89). To see some great vistas drive up Schnebly Hill Rd. if open (begins @ SR 179 in Sedona). For a memorable Sunday brunch, make a reservation at L'Auberge. You'll pay for it, but it's a treat worth the splurge. A dinner at the Enchantment Resort has great views at a neat resort beautifully tucked into Boynton Canyon. Shaded fountains and shops are in Tlaquepaque Arts Village near downtown Sedona. A day trip to Jerome is interesting with long views from the Haunted Hamburger or Jerome Grand Hotel.
