Sedona Hilton/Radisson Poco Diablo

I have been researching accomodations for my family of five (3 adults, two children). I like the Sedona Hilton and have read some good reviews and am considering bidding on Priceline. However, it is possible I may get the Radisson Poco Diablo and and have read a couple of negative reviews. Does anyone have any experience with either of these hotels. I could book full price at the Hilton and get a room guarantee but is it so much better than the Radisson that I spend more than twice the amount?

We stayed at the Hilton Sedona and loved it. Never have stayed at the Radisson. If I remember correctly, the Radisson was closer by the touristy shops.

Hope you have a nice trip.

Thank you for your response. I am pretty sure the Hilton is a lovely stay and I guess I am just trying to justify paying full price for the guarantee over the possibility of getting the Radisson. We decided we were going to splurge on a Las Vegas suite so we want to make sure we are spending our dollars wisely for our four part southwest tour. Anyone stayed at the Radisson Poco Diablo?

We have stayed at the Radisson on two different Thanksgivings. We picked it because we were able to get a room for a good price and for the location. It is closer to town than the Hilton but not in the thick of things. The grounds are lovely. The rooms with 2 queen beds just so so. I wish their upgrade rooms would have 2 queens but they only have kings. We need to 2 beds because of traveling with teens. It does have a frig in the rooms and is clean with comfortable beds. We spent most of time hiking so it met our needs. The staff is great there.

Thank you for your response. I now know that I would be okay using Priceline and getting either of the two hotels while saving a great deal.

Good luck with your Priceline bidding. Please come back and post your results, as I'm sure we'd all like to get an idea for future reference. I've stayed at the Sedona Hilton in the past through the Entertainment book for $94 for a one BR suite and thought it was great, but would love to know what you can get with Priceline. Also curious if you would need 2 BRs at the Radisson, since I don't know that you could fit in 5 people.

Judy,
The Entertainment rate I was quoted for the Hilton for a 1 bd Suite was $179. That is not a deal at all. Based on the successful bids I have seen for these properties if I use Priceline and I get the Radisson instead of the Hilton I could get two rooms for the price of one.

Judy,
I took the gamble and bid on Priceline. I got the Radisson for $75.00. When I went to the website and keyed in 3 adults and 2 children it gave me several options so I hope we will be okay. Now I am working on trying to bid on the Venetian in Las Vegas.
