Sedona Christmas
 

My wife, adult son, and I will be staying at the Arroyo Roble Resort from Christmas day until New Year's Eve. Can anyone recommend a restaurant for Christmas Dinner or a store that will be open so that we can buy food to prepare a dinner at the resort?

Are there any events taking place that week that we should take advantage of?

We really enjoy Yavapai at the Enchantment Resort.
Great food and gorgeous views.
Elote cafe is closed on Christmas but do try and dine there for dinner..outstanding.

Also, in Tlaquepaque village is Rene, a quaint French restaurant. We had a delicious meal and excellent service.

Also, L'Auberge Restaurant at the hotel would be nice as well. We didn't dine there but was recommended to us as well.

Google "calendar of events for Sedona" and you should come up with holiday events. Or call your hotel and the concierge should be able to help you.

From Arroyo Roble (which is on Hwy. 89A) turn left and follow 89A about three miles. It will curve to the west. There you will find Bashas', an Arizona-based supermarket chain, and a little farther on you will find Safeway.

While in Sedona, be sure to visit the Sedona Historical Museum, on Jordan Road and near Arroyo Roble. Open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For full details on what to see and do, check in at the Sedona Chamber of Commberce Visitors' Center, on 89A, about three blocks south of Arroyo Roble. Open 9 to 5.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We should be able to find a place to eat Chrismas Day and plan to have a great week there. We haven't been to Sedona in nearly twenty years ... so are really looking forward to seeing it again AND getting away from the Wisconsin winter for a little while.

Make sure you have reservations..
Sedona is busy over Christmas and not much is open so things book up very quickly.

My husband and I have spent the past four years in Sedona over the Christmas holiday.In the past on C-Eve we dine out at Dahl/DiLuca on Hwy 89A for a supurb meal.
We usually stay at same property ea year. Our cottage has a full kitchen w/large fireplace and we cook dinner ourselves on Christmas day at the cottage to enjoy the ambiance all around us...fireplace, scenery, etc. (Read where this year there may be snow on Christmas day!)
There are two supermarkets in Sedona. We shop at Safeway on Hwy 89a for our Christmas dinner.
I believe the Amara Resort will be open on Christmas day as well as L'Auberge de Sedona as we ate C-dinner once at the latter.
For a nice Christmas event, the ~Fantasy of Lights~ takes place every year at the Los Arbrigados Resort on grounds of Tlaquepacque. Many decorated Christmas scenes on property of hotel done by individual families that vie for the top prize. Take in the horse/carriage ride while sipping a cup of hot chocolate. Dress warm. It is crowded especially on Christmas night. That is always a fun and traditional event to see. Check it out on the internet for more info.

All of your suggestions are very helpful. However, we are not looking forward to the possibility of snow. We are leaving plenty of that behind back here in Wisconsin.
