Sedona B&B's
 

Does anyone have a favorite b&b in Sedona to recommend? My emphasis would be on quiet, comfortable, with beautiful views. Priced in the neighborhood of $200 would be good.

Has anyone stayed at either Briar Patch Inn, or Adobe Hacienda?

I stayed at Canyon Villas a few years a ago. One of the nices places I have ever stayed. They called it a B&B but instead of antiques and flea-market decor, all the furnishings and features were that of a luxury hotel.

It is a few minutes drive outside of the "center" of Sedona (there is really no there there) and the views were amazing. Total eye candy.

Canyon Villa looks lovely indeed. Unfortunately it is fully booked the weekend we are going to be there . Thanks for the recommendation, though!

Few B&Bs offer the amenities found in a well-run motel. A big pool, for instance. Have you checked The King's Ransom?

Agree with USNR about the B&B's in Sedona..for $200 a night, you can get a really nice casita/room with wonderful views.
We stay in Sedona at least twice a year and this year went to Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa..got a great deal on Expedia for $89 a night..it was off-season, but great room and hotel..
Did you check out the Amara Resort?

those do look nice. its just there are few amenities that we'll make use of. Okay, maybe the pool...although is it really warm enough for a swimning pool in October? But we won't use spa services, and I don't need a grand jacuzzi tub in my room. It is nice to have an on-site restaurant though.

But Amara is $279/night. I'm really hoping to keep it lower than that. Sedona Rouge is a little better (if I could get that $89 rate in October that would be good).

is there a reason you think the b&b's are inferior? I haven't seen very many get recommended on the forum, so i wondered about that.

I do know about Sky Ranch Lodge which looks good, and a very reasonable price. That may yet be my choice, I was looking for other options.

Maybe I am just not a fan of B&B's to begin with..sharing a bathroom, really no amenties, privacy..etc
Sedona has wonderful hotels with casita's and great hotel rooms..
The Briar Patch Inn does look lovely..
Did you try Expedia?
October is still hot but not as bad as in the summer.
I have also stayed at the Best Western Arroya and they re-did their rooms and have gorgeous views of the Red Rock..it was pretty cheap..$139 a night.
Hyatt Pinon is under $200..L'Auberge is really nice too.

TahitiTams, I never like to share a bathroom either! Most US b&b's don't have shared bath, especially not at the $200/night price point. And generally when I've stayed in them, I've had plenty of privacy. As much so as a hotel. I guess because they are small, the desk staff may notice your comings and goings more than at a hotel, but they also may give you more personal service.

I'll try expedia, and keep an eye out for bargains. Sedona Rouge price isn't bad, i will consider it.

Do have lunch at the Enchantment Resort, Yavapai Restaurant..really good and the views are stunning..it is gated...just make reservations..
Love the Cowboy Club in town for prickly pear margarita's and the Coffee Pot for breakfast.

We stayed at the Inn on Oak Creek a few years back and LOVED it. The rooms are right on the creek with beautiful views. The rooms are small, but very pretty, comfortable, and immaculate. Nice bathroom, too. The food is outstanding. The room comes with a full breakfast, appetizers before dinner, and fruit, cookies & lemonade all day.

We enjoy Sky Ranch lodge, but it is definitely not luxury! It is comfortable enough, but we go for the view. We did stay in a wonderful B&B once, the Inn on Oak Creek, and loved it. It was very very private, own bathroom and lovely view over the creek. Check their website - there's a variety of rooms and prices.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Wishing Well B&B. It is just north out of town a couple of minutes. B&B's most everywhere are more upscale than hotels these days. Most have private baths, fine linens, great soaps and other amenities, even free wireless! Look at bbonline.com or bedandbreakfast.com .
