The Heartline Cafe on 89 was lovely - reasonable, good food and good service. It's near the airport turnoff on the left side as you drive toward north Sedona.

Keyser's West, also on 89 at the entrance to West Sedona, is a friendly, casual local place with very good food.

I'd recommend hiking boots; I did easy to moderate hikes and was glad I had my hiking boots with me. Some hikes got a little tricky in places even if they were generally easy.

I loved Boynton Canyon for hiking, and I did a couple of easy hikes on Thunder Mt. I didn't have time for Broken Arrow but in 6 days, you can cover a lot of territory.

Alma de Sedona B&B is a lovely place to stay - beautiful accommodations, well located, great service and delicious breakfasts. It's right off I89.

In Page, I stayed at the Days Inn, right on the main road. Don't laugh but it was lovely - newly renovated and stylishly furnished with mini suites for rooms and lovely views. There's not too much to choose from in Page and I thought I was settling for the Days Inn but I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. They have laundry facilities and a small but adequate buffet breakfast is included in the room price.
The float trip around Horseshoe Bend was very enjoyable.

P.S. Definitely recommend the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour.

Hi, Just piggybacking on this thread - is the Pink Jeep Combo with the Scenic Rim worth the extra money /time? Also, we were thinking of visiting Sedona in mid- Nove, will it be too cold?

Do you think it is worth a trip to Verde valley? Walnut canyon?

I have only passed through Verde Valley on my way to Sedona, so can't say about that. If you meant the Verde Canyon Railroad, we have taken it three times -- very worthwhile And Walnut Canyon is definitely worth visiting.

We just got back from Sedona (stayed uptown) and ate both nights at the Silver Saddle. Well, once there and the next night at Silver Saddle, but they are basically the same restaurant. Not cheap, but easily one of the best steaks we've ever had. Get the Buffalo Tenderloin and maybe they'll have the Peach Blueberry Pie! (Silver Saddle was slightly nicer)

Also, if you like ruins but don't want to spend all day, Palatki Canyon was fantastic. Lot's of Cave painting.
