Sedona

My husband and I will be spending a day and a half or two days in Sedona next fall, and would like some suggestions about how to spend our time there. We do hope to take a Pink Jeep tour (maybe Broken Arrow?), but are open to ideas about other things. We are mid-60's, like to do some hiking - no more than 2 - 3 hours on easy to moderate trails. Any thoughts?

We did a close by trip to see the ruins at Palatki. Easy and interesting.

We also did an easy hike along at Red Rock State Park. This is on the back side of Courthouse Rock.

I found this blog that may give you ideas:

We went to Sedona in 2006. Just last week I saw part of the old Jimmy Stewart movie”Broken Arrow”, which was shot in this area. So beautiful that I want to plan another trip to Sedona soon. You will love it.

We also did the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow ride around sunset.

We walked in/out Fay Canyon last December in the early a.m. Easy walk and solitude first thing in the morning.

The West Fork Trail is very nice in the spring. It isn't too strenuous, though you will have to cross a few streams.

Slide Rock Park is a great place to visit, if you haven't been before.

The Chapel of the Holy Cross trail is gorgeous! Beautiful view at the top - and the church is nice too!
