Seaword Strategies?

Does anyone have any good tips or strategies for Seaworld in San Diego?
Best days and times to go?
What to visit first?

By the way they are offering a fun pass where if you purchase a one day admission you can get back in for free for the rest of the year (I think that there are some blackout dates).

Thank You!!

Buy your tickets ahead of time. Choose the most popular attraction you want to see and go there first when the gates open (get there before the gates open if possible). Probably the rides epecially the rapids have the longest lines. Then try to go to each show in a consecutive order around the park and see the animals near the entrances/exits as you go. I don't think we had to do any backtracking except to see something twice (but then part of the fun for me is to see how effecient I can be - I shop row by row too!)

Of course weekdays are probably best and earlier and later in the day are least crowded.

Pet the rays for me!

This is a tip that we discovered.
The dolphins in the petting pool (Rocky Point Reserve) are hungry and anxious for attention 1st thing in the AM. They will come up to the sides of the pool in the morning, but by afternoon, they have been well fed, and tend to only swim in the center more.
The wild arctic ride is a waste of time. Long lineups that move slowly.
Pirates 4-D is a hoot.
Enjoy

Break up your day. In the summer(up until labor day?), Sea World is open til 10 and does a nightly fireworks show. I'd hit some attractions in the morning and into early afternoon, then either re-up or go to the beach nearby - then head back in the evening.
