Seattle WA 10 hours only what are must dos
We will be arriving in Seattle early morning on a Saturday. Departing a cruise and we will not be leaving until the red eye that night. Trying to figure out how to make the most of our time in Seattle. What to do with our luggage for the day and what to do any help would be appreciated.

Go to Ivars on the wharf!!! Wish I had 10 hours in Seattle.
http://www.ivars.net/ http://www.portseattle.org/seaport/c...attlefaq.shtml There may be some info here to help. Do a search for luggage storage Seattle and more may come up. |
Are you coming in to Pier 30 or 91? Lots to do within walking distance of 30, but you'll need a cab from 91.
You could: walk through Pike Place market, Olympic Sculpture Garden, waterfront piers, Pioneer Square (Underground Tour, Elliott Bay Books, even an M's game). Check out Seattle Art Museum and do a little shopping downtown. Take the monorail to Seattle Center and have a look at/go up the Space Needle. |
That s/b Pier 66, not 30. I've got other types of boats on the brain.

thanks for the suggestions. I think we will rent a car for the day so that will give us flexibility.

If your object is to see Seattle highlights, such as those mentioned by lennyba, you do not want to rent a car to park at high rates. Most everything mentioned is within easy walking distance for any reasonably fit person, and there is free bus service in the downtown area.

You definitely don't need or want a rental car imo, to get from the cruiseship to the airport, with some sightseeing downtown Seattle in between. These distances are not far and parking is expensive! Can't the cruiseship get the luggage to the airport for you? Then you'd be free to tour downtown on foot?
