San Diego is my favorite city in the world Suze . I loved growing up there and we recently talked about moving down there from Orange County.

She continues to lean towards PLNU - I think unless she gets unwaitlisted at Pepperdine and they give her 40,000 (which isn't going to happen!) then it will likely be PLNU.

I am proud that she is saying she really still wants to see SPU because she wants to feel good about that decision.

Definitely come visit Seattle and do the school visit. Seattle is a wonderful city, and would be a great opportunity to get a peak at it for future living or visits.

Another factor is that if you live in Orange County, she will be driving home for visits, vs. flying and those costs add up too.

You'll be very close to Daniel's Broiler from that Marriott. The food is great (seafood and steak) and it's on the water. I like the Marriott on Westlake.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Lake Union Silver Cloud - they are there now and said it is a great hotel. I really like the rate/free parking/ breakfast so thank you!

They will be touring the school today and tomorrow and have dinner reservations at
Six Seven Restaurant & Lounge for Friday night...

Next Monday we go to see her other choice PLNU and then it is crunch time to decide...

Hey all,
Thanks for the advice.

They LOVED the hotel - my husband said it was a huge bargain with the free breakfast and free parking. They liked the location and thought it was beautiful.

They went to Six Seven and it was a highlight. They are still talking about it Deb so thank you for the tip!

They took the ferry over the the San Juan Islands one day and loved it. I don't have clear details on where/what they did ...but whatever it was - it was beautiful and they loved it

The school was clearly not a good fit for our daughter so while she will not be attending there it was good that they went up so she could see that for herself. We went to Point Loma on the following Monday and she loved it and will be attending school in San Diego in a few months! I am very excited for her.

Thank you again!

Beautiful!! I'm so glad they had a nice visit. Thanks for updating us. I wish I'd gone to college in San Diego (lol)!
