Seattle to Yosemite

We have Monday through Thursday to drive from Seattle to Yosemite and would like to do some of the Coastline and then swing over to go through the Redwoods and would love suggestions, we are also planning on spending Thursday afternoon and all Day Friday seeing the highlights in San Francisco and would love any ideas on what we can see on our whirlwind tour of San Francisco.

You are doing all this in one huge rush.

To see a good swath of the Oregon Coast, the stretch from Port Orford to the OR/CA border provides many great ocean views.

Continuing on to the Redwoods and Yosemite, this route from Seattle to Yosemite is about 1,100 miles--a lot of driving and little time for the Redwoods or Yosemite.

In San Francisco, don't miss Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and North Beach. Here are more ideas: http://www.frommers.com/destinations/sanfrancisco/

HTTY is right: My plan-Drive down I-5 through Sacramento. Cross over to CA 99 in Stockton and drive south to Merced. Take 140 into Yosemite. When leaving Yosemite, go over through Salinas to get to Monterey. If you have the time, see the Aquarium. Drive up the coast to San Francisco. I will defer to StuDudley for what to see in a short time in SF. With more time drive over the GG bridge and see Muir Woods for some Coast Redwoods.
Save the Oregon Coast for another trip closer to home.

Yes, if you want to have a better experience you will have to skip something.

Another possibility is to enjoy the Oregon Coast, the Redwoods, and San Francisco without the pressure of squeezing Yosemite into the drive.

You've described a drive-by trip. All you will see will be from the car windows.

Chose one from the list: SF, Yosemite, California coastline

If you're going to spend some time in Yosemite after this drive you can see most of what you want thusly
I-5 to Grants Pass, OR take 199 to 101 in Crescent City -Monday
101 to Ukiah - via Redwood Nat. Park, Eureka and the Redwoods around Garberville - Tues
IF you must go to SF, early morning start on Wed. take 101 into The City, sightseeing, leave by 2 p.m. overnight in Modesto - Wed.
SR 108/120 into Yosemite via Big Oak Flat entrance -Thursday.

A lot of driving but IMO it's a worthwhile trip. I would, however, skip SF and spend more time somewhere else.
