Seattle to Vancouver

I understand this is only a few hours from seattle. Anyone stayed in Seattle and travelled to Vancouver. Worth the trip?

It's 3 hours by car not counting 0-2 hours crossing the border, and, yes, many people - millions, even - think it's worth the trip. You may disagree.

That's presuming you're referring to Vancouver BC, Canada. Vancouver, Washington, USA is also 3 hours, but no border crossing unless you consider Clark County to be a foreign country. Many do.

We took Amtrak from Seattle to Vancouver, BC and loved it. The border crossing was easy and quite fast, and the train goes along the water for a good part of the trip. This makes it easy to enjoy nice scenery without concentrating on driving. We got an internet Amtrak fare of $34 roundtrip.

We really liked Vancouver when we visited last year. However, the border crossing can be quite long and unpredictable, so factor that into your plans

My wife and I prefer Victoria B.C. on Vancouver Island over Vancouver. You can take the Victoria Clipper to Victoria from Seattle, or drive up to Anacortes and take a ferry to Vancouver Island through the San Juan Islands, which is very scenic.
