Seattle to San Francisco
 

We are planning to drive from Seattle to San Francisco in late July. Stopping points include: Mount St Helens, Redwood National Park. Any suggestions about other places to stop along the way, attractions to see, and hotels would be appreciated. Thank you!

<BR>Don't miss seeing the Oregon coast. For more info on that look here at past posts about Oregon and you will find a lot.

<BR>Recommend you look up tourist infomation on the cities of Portland, Sacramento, and others to break up the long drive. also I'd highly recomend the Columba Gourge near Portland.the whole gourge itself starts on the coast near Astoria and becomes most of the Wa. Or. state borderline. thought out of the way maybe, Crater Lake Nation Park between Eugne and Medford, north of Klamath Falls/Atamont is also woth looking at.

Mendocino is nice too, as is a B&B in Elk (a little south of Mendocino) called "Greenwood Pier Inn". It's on HWY 1 overlooking the ocean, has a gorgeous garden, cafe and country store (very romantic location and lovely rooms).
