The downtown Seattle Art Museum is closed for renovations. Is the exhibit up at the Asian branch at Volunteer Park?

uh oh! annimal is going to bite us when he or she gets back on-line. We've had the wettest weather in awhile! :-[

At least we said to wear layers....

annimal, how was it?

You're right, Orcas, we might not have made a friend of annimal. Mark Twain is reported to have said "The coldest winter I have ever spent was one summer on Puget Sound."

We walked around on Saturday and Sunday without any rain gear, as is our custom...but for a visitor it might have been a bit much. I kept remembering the Folklife Festivals I have attended wearing shorts, a tee shirt, and SPF-35 sunscreen.

Twains quote is supposed to be about San Francisco. However, I found this on the internet: "Twain's droll comment is widely repeated to the point that you can't read a news story that makes mention of the cold of San Franciscan summers and not trip over it. It's a great quote. It's a wonderfully crafted quote. And it's a darned shame Twain never said it."

I believe W.C. Fields did say, "I once spent a year in Philadelphia, I think it was on a Sunday" and that he wanted his grave stone to read, "Here lies W. C. Fields. I would rather be living in Philadelphia."
