I wouldn't compare margaritas and sliders at Ma Kai with a brunch at Salty's. But for an afternoon excursion from the Four Seasons, a beer and a taco at Ma Kai isn't a bad thing.

I thought the Burke Museum was interesting and educational up in the "U" District for Pacific Northwest Native American history. If Husbear likes to bike, I'll add that I enjoyed renting a bike while in the "U" district and going along the Burke-Gilman Trail from Gas Works Park to Lake Washington; a highlight while doing this was stopping at Agua Verde Mexican restaurant for lunch and sitting outside looking at the houseboats, kayakers and sailboats on the rivulet going into Lake Union while enjoying a burrito. Beautiful!

I'd second the idea of taking the West Seattle water taxi and biking along Alki Beach. One of my favorite Seattle activities (it was a beautiful day when I went and Mount Rainier was visible in its full glory).

I don't know if anyone responded to your question about the Space Needle. Definitely do it if you have time, especially if you are interested in engineering/architecture. Great view of the city and sound and very interesting story about its construction for the world's fair. There is a good Spanish restaurant across from the 4 Seasons called Aragona, FYI.

The Underground Tour sounds interesting in particular; Space Needle, also.

By the way, Dukey1, they make a great Bloody Mary there at the Underground Tour. They have a little café, and you can grab a bite while waiting for the tour to begin. The bartender talked us into them with a pastry in the morning...
