Seattle shopping questions
I will be visiting Seattle soon, but without a car. Within a reasonable walking distance from the Public Market, any possibility of finding shops with decorator fabrics? stores of interest to gardeners?
|
I'd say yes without knowing any in particular. As you walk from the market up to Belltown there should be various groovy places. Perhaps Seattle Access could supply you with some info.

If you head up Pike from the market (east) you will end up right in the main shopping area of downtown. Westlake mall, Pacific Place mall, Nordstrom, Bon, Gap, etc. Just to the south of here are many boutique stores and free standing larger stores such as Kenneth Cole, Banana, Eddie Bauer Home, Nike town, etc.

Wendy

Remember the" downtown" area has free buses with in prescribed area in case you et tired of walking!!!

There are garden shops in the Pike Market itself, also some people selling fabrics, but I can't think offhand of a specialty fabric shop per se downtown - there used to be a Pierre Deux (sp?) shop but I believe it's gone now. A couple of home decor places around Rainier Square (Fifth & Union ) might have fabrics, or you can check Nordies or Eddie Bauer.
