Seattle Restaurants
Will be in Seattle one night enroute to Victoria. Love French Food. Any great suggestions?

Maximillien at the Market is very French --pretty views, good food, good brunch--at the Pike Place Market. Reserve well ahead. Also Campagne in the Inn at the Market.
|
There is a new place by the market called Le Piquet, that is getting good reviews. A typical French bistro they say. As stated before Campagne has a less expensive cafe that serves very wonderful roast chicken. Have fun.

Highly recommend CUTTER'S located at the north most end of the Pike Street Market near the totem pole.

Try the FRESH SALMON! salmon chowder
or any other dish at this waterfront local...

Karen, the 2 Campagnes and Le Pichet have been mentioned - all good. Farther away from downtown, though, in the trendy Madison Park neighborhood, is Rovers, where the chef, Thierry Rautureau, is regarded as a long-standing superstar of interesting French cooking in town. Pricy and worth it. http://www.rovers-seattle.com/home.html

I'd vote for either Rover's or Campagne, though there are other excellent places. I'd stay away from Cutter's for a special meal. Look into Chez Shea. Northwest cuisine with a very romantic atmosphere and really excellent. Book well in advance!
