Seattle Question

Any comments on the Kimpton Group Hotel Vintage Court? Plan on going to an exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum and to see new Library, this hotel seems in a good location as I don't usually get a car in Seattle.

Vintage Court is right across from the new library, but there are many hotels within easy walking distance of the library and SAM. Vintage Court is on a busy corner.

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you the new library is worth a trip to Seattle. I visited it today and it is awesome!

SAB: MMS just tipped me off that Travel & Leisure is offering great discounts on the Kimpton hotels. You might want to check into that! ***kim***

Orcas I read the New Yorker article on the library which clinched a visit for me. Glad to hear that it is as awesome as the review made it appear. Only disappointment for me is that there will be no performances at the Beniroya when I plan on being there. Thanks for the tip kim, will look into it.

The Vintage Court is a comfortable place, well located for business travelers. Note Kimpton has 3 properties in Seattle - Vintage Court, Monaco and Alexis. All are very fine, the Vintage Court is the least conveniently located for most of the tourist destinations, but certainly nice enough.

Do you mean the Hotel Vintage Park? The Vintage Court is in San Francisco.
If so, we've stayed there twice and have really liked it. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The hotel is personable with a doting staff. The evening presentation of local wines is very fun! The location is terrific. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Thanks for the clarification, Tess. It's the Hotel Vintage Park in Seattle and the Vintage Court in SF.

Since this is a Seattle question, the OP is most likely referring to Seattle and not SF. ***kim*** :)

Yeah, got me. Been to both. Actually the Seattle one is mo bettah.

Sorry about hijacking the thread...but Kim...I did a post this morning to you titled Attn Kimamom and I'm not sure you saw it. Anyway, look for it...it is about wineries in the PNW.

kimamom May 25th, 2004 01:52 PM

HI MMS!! No, I didn't see the thread. I'll go try to find it right now!!! ***kim***

It must have been deleted, or didn't go through. Could you post it again? Thanks, ***kim***

I agree with you Gardyloo, Vintage Park is much better than Vintage Court. We've stayed in both, too. Kim, since you don't "do" San Francisco and don't know Nob Hill from Knob Hill, why bother?
