Can someone please, recommend Motel/Hotel around 12th street in Seattle that is not a $100 per night? I am looking for something like $70 or less. I need it as a storage/lavatory . Thanks

I don't know of a 12th Street in Seattle. Can you be more specific about the area in which you hope to find a room? We have a 12th Avenue South, which starts in the International District, south of downtown.

The cheapest place I know with an excellent downtown location has little to recommend it except that you could store stuff there and rooms have lavatories. No the U district is not especially close to the King's Inn. However the University (H)(M)otel itself is under $100 most days, as is the Travelodge across from University Village, around a mile from the University motel. http://www.travelodge.com/Travelodge...L&brandInfo=TL

But I think you could also get lucky with Priceline, going for 3 stars, depending on your dates.

There is no "12th Street" in Seattle.

There's 12th Avenue, 12th Avenue North, 12th Avenue South, 12th Avenue NE, 12th Avenue SW, etc. etc. All the various neighborhoods all over Seattle use a numbering system. You know which one by the directional extention (N, S, NE, SW, etc.)

King's Inn would not be convenient. Your reference to 12th Street confused me. I gather you meant 12th Avenue N.E. where the historic College Inn has rooms for $55-$60:

It is 12th Avenue NE you are asking about. And yes that is in the "University District".

To anybody who can answer this question...which is similar to the above question: I am going to Seattle for a 3 day weekend October 9-12, 2009, leaving 10/12/2009. What hotels are closest to most Seattle attractions, since I will not have a car. Any suggestions are welcome.

Ernest, Any downtown Seattle hotel will be close to most of the mainstream tourist attractions and easy to do without a car. Downtown is a concentrated area and most of our hotels are located right there. It's just a matter of what price range and type of place you are looking for.

Exactly, and the heart of downtown is Fifth and Pine.
