Seattle Hotels
Hi,
I am traveling to Seattle for the first time next week (July 26). I am trying to book a hotel within walking distance to the sights...i.e. The Market. Don't want to spend a fortune on a room, but want a decent place. Inn at Market is booked, Hotel 1000 and Alexis are too much money. Has anyone stayed at the Executive Hotel Pacific? Is it decent and in a good location? I am so close to using hotwire.com but hate not knowing what I am getting into. Please let me know if there are any "must see sights" in Seattle. Thanks :) |
We LOVED the Hotel Vintage Park...great place stayed there for 3 days...easy walking to everyplace. We did hotwire and got a great deal.

Booked a room at Hotel Max. Was this a good idea? Got a rate of $207 per night. Now just have to work on my sightseeing.

The Max is in a good location and has a cool artsy vibe--the rooms are small though.

I'm finding rooms in Seattle on a lot of dates this summer are very scarce and high-priced. As far as I can see the cruise business is largely responsible, probably also a fair amount of domestic and Canadian tourism resulting from cheap dollar and pricey gas.
The situation is likely to be remedied by next year - I don't know how many hundred hotel rooms are currently under construction, but it's a serious bunch. Possibly we might even be facing an over-built situation such as the one Vancouver had a few years ago. |
I think Hotel Max is a fine place to stay.

Hotel Max has a perfect location for shopping, dining, and sightseeing in Seattle.
