Seattle Hotel - Recommendation?

I'm reviewing earlier postings, but also hoped someone might have a recent suggestion. This website is ALWAYS great ... many thanks!!!

Can you give us a little more to go on as far as what you're looking for ;-)? Budget, type of place you prefer (modern, historic, boutique?), are you a family or a couple, that type of stuff.

Yes - modern and elegant ... on the smaller side. We are also reserving for a couple from the UK who will meet us for one night before heading to Juneau. So, need comfort, convenience and taste. Price is not a major issue, but would prefer to keep it under $300 a night if possible. If not, then not. Good restaurants nearby. Many thanks for your help.

Great, that helps ;-). In that case, I'd suggest looking at the Hotel 1000 (gorgeous bathrooms!), the Andra and the Inn at the Market. And it's larger but the Grand Hyatt is also very nice, modern and elegant.

The new Hotel 1000 was my thought as well.

W also fits your criteria.

If you want to consider a Seattle classic, check out The Mayflower.

There's the brand new Pan Pacific (but the location is a bit less central).

I love the Mayflower Park, but it's not too "modern"... it's the oldest continually operational hotel in Seattle.

Sorry, happytrails... didn't mean to sound rude. The Mayflower Park is a wonderful "classic" hotel as you said.

Stayed at the Hotel Andra and the rooms are tiny along with the smallest bathroom.
Was not really impressed with the hotel or the staff..
I so wanted to love this hotel but thought they were more important than the customer!
