Seattle hotel recommendation

We fly to Seattle and arrive at 3:00 pm. Need hotel recommendation for 1 night($90 to $120). We will be driving to Port Angles the next day. A hotel close the the water would be nice.

If you are driving from SeaTac to Port Angeles, you would be better off heading south to Tacoma than north to Seattle.

If you arrive at 3:00 p.m., you could be in Port Angels for dinner.

It is not likely you will find a Seattle room on the water in the $90-$120 range.

Use Priceline... bid the downtown sector... you might even get the "Edgewater", where the Beatles were fishing out the window so long ago.

Then take a ferry across the water, from either Seattle or Edmonds, on your way to Port Angeles.

The drive from SeaTac Airport to Port Angeles via Tacoma and the Narrows Bridge is 130 miles and takes about three hours.

Check out the Silver Cloud Inn (www.scinns.com) in Mukilteo, right next to the Whidbey Island ferry dock. More like $150 probably, but literally over the water, free breakfast, and you can take the ferry in the morning to Whidbey, visit Langley and Coupeville (cute towns on the island) then take the Port Townsend ferry and over to PA. Scenic route, nice hotel. In summer $90 - $120 in Seattle will get you bupkis.

Thank you all. I did use the Priceline and got a room at Hilton for $60. Hilton web site price was $259.

Hi, nice to know of your Priceline success.

As for Port Angeles, will you drive around via Tacoma or will you ferry across Puget Sound and then up to Port Angeles?

Thanks a lot NorthwestMale.
We are planning to drive to PA via Tacoma and stay in the area for 3 days.
We like the outdoors: hiking, cannoing, beaching, etc. Any recommendations?
